Community Benefit Program

The new Community Benefit Program was announced in 2016 focusing on Danberry Realtors members efforts volunteering in our community. The Danberry Co, Realtors; it’s Management Team, Agents and Staff, collectively contributed more than 2,865 hours of community service to 91 organizations, churches and schools in and around Toledo throughout this year as part of our Community Benefits Program.

The Danberry Community Benefits Program is designed to increase and enhance the efforts by Danberry Family Members in giving back to the community by focusing attention on individual efforts and rewarding a select few of them on an annual basis.

Every member of the team is being encouraged to give at least one hour a year (June 1st –May 31st) back to the community in an activity that the individual selects. This simple requirement results in an invitation to an annual recognition event. Also at the event ,3 members of the Danberry Family will be selected by a panel of non-Danberry judges for their outstanding contributions. $1000, $500 and $250 will be awarded to the charities or activities of the 3 selectees. 

The Danberry Co. Realtors and ProMedica have an existing and ongoing partnership, the Danberry Treasure Chest, which has supported local families for more than 23 years.  This collaboration has resulted in over $765,000 raised, assisting over 750 local families at Toledo Children’s Hospital, with children facing severe chronic diseases.

“Most volunteers give of their time not for recognition but to help others. WE recognize that BUT we believe that by sharing our efforts, we can serve as a positive example to others which will result in motivating them to also volunteer.” Says Danberry, CEO, Lynn Fruth.

Danberry’s 1st Annual Community Benefits Event was held June 21st at The National Museum of The Great Lakes. The Community Benefit Program was introduced in 2016 to increase and highlight Danberry members individual efforts in giving back to our community.


If at least one hour a year is given back an invitation is extended to an annual recognition event. At the event, 3 members of the Danberry Family are selected by an external panel for their outstanding contributions. $1000, $500 and $250 will be awarded to the charities or activities of the 3 selectees.

The evening began with agents entering the museum and being greeted by three oversized checks excitedly awaiting the award ceremony to be held later that evening. Guests could take in the sites of the museum, tour the James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship, grab a bite of the catered Mancy’s Steakhouse cuisine, pick up a cocktail at the bar, and overall enjoy the atmosphere of The National Museum of the Great Lakes!

At 6pm guests gathered around to hear Lynn Fruth, Danberry’s CEO briefly speak of the amazing members of our Danberry Family that made this event possible by donating their time to so many wonderful causes in the area!

Todd Schenkenberger out of our Westgate Office took first place and won a $1,000 to be donated to the charity of his choice. Victoria Valle out of our Briarfield Office took second place winning a $500 contribution to her selected charity, and another Briarfield Agent, Rick Popiolek took third winning a $250 donation to his charity of choice.

This year’s event was a huge success with 77 Danberry Members contributing more than 2,865 hours and supporting 91 organizations!
